As the need has grown for direct primary care medicine in this country, both Dr. Carter and Stephanie realized the concierge medicine philosophy aligned with their passions to spend the necessary time to provide excellent primary and preventative care to their friends and neighbors in this community. Clint Carter, M.D.
Dr. Carter was raised in Whitehouse, Texas. He is a graduate from East Texas Baptist University (where his soccer team won two national championships!) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and the University of Texas Houston with a Doctorate of Medicine. In addition to MyMD Select, he has over 10 years of experience as an ER doctor.
Jack Jorden, M.D.
Dr. Jorden is a native of South Louisiana. After high school he served 4 years in the Navy as an electronics technician. He is a graduate of University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Biology and Chemistry and LSU School of Medicine with a Doctorate of Medicine. Dr. Jorden is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has over 30 years of experience as an ER doctor. We love Dr. Jorden and know you will too!
Stephanie Carter, PA-C
Stephanie was raised in Shreveport, LA and graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch- Galveston. Stephanie has experience in cardiothoracic surgery at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, TX, Trinity Clinic Vascular Surgery in Tyler, TX, and the Cardiology with Cardiovascular Consultants in the Louis and Peaches Owens Heart Hospital in Tyler.
Rebecca Parker, APRN, FNP-C
Rebecca was raised near Marble Falls and completed her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Tyler and Master of Science in Nursing at Texas A&M Corpus Christi in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Rebecca has over 15 years’ experience in the healthcare field and has been a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017.
Michelle Smith, RN, BSN
Michelle attended Keller High School then pursued her love of dance at Kilgore College as a Rangerette. She continued her education at UT Tyler where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has worked in the healthcare industry for 18 plus years. Michelle is adventurous, loves to travel and spend time with her husband and 3 children.
Melissa Roddy, RN, BSN
Melissa graduated high school in Indiana and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ball State University. She has over 16 years’ experience in healthcare, including Cardiac, Emergency room, pre and po st op, and home infusions. Melissa currently resides in Bullard, TX with her husband and daughter.
Danyel Kush, FNP-BC
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Danyel enjoys helping people reach their optimum health by addressing the body, mind and spirit. After more than a decade in the ER caring for acute and chronic diseases, her passion at MyMD Select is taking the time to identify the root cause of a patient’s symptoms so they can experience a level of health they didn’t know was possible. When she isn’t advocating for patients, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and walking her family’s French Mastiffs.
Kishla Davis, RN
Kishla was born and raised in Kilgore, Texas. She went to Kilgore College and performed as Rangerette. She furthered her education in Houston, earning her Advanced Degree in Nursing. She is married with 2 beautiful boys and currently resides in Tyler, TX
Amy Chambless, LVN
Amy was born and raised in Whitehouse, TX. She received her nursing degree at Tyler Junior College and worked in healthcare for 7 plus years. She loves spending time with her family and anything active outdoors.
Jessica Hernandez,
Medical Assistant
Everyone feels comfortable around Jessica. She joined the team in Spring 2021 and says that MyMD Select is about standing together to make a difference in people’s lives. She grew up in Tyler and graduated from John Tyler High. She then received her Medical Assistant Certificate from TJC.
She loves spending time with family and is our resident makeup expert.
